La Blogotheque - Take Away Shows

In today’s world videos dominate a significant amount of our time. YouTube has never had as many video views as it has recently and it seems that we are constantly bombarded with people constantly sending us video links or saying “you have got to see this.” Whether it’s the newest video of the newest child prodigy or another video of a kitten… we can’t escape it.
With that said, you need to see La Blogotheque’s “Take Away Show” series. La Blogotheque is a Paris based independent film company that invites indie rock and mainstream acts to be filmed in the most natural way possible. Whether it’s underneath the Eiffel tower, walking the streets of New York, or in an elevator La Blogotheque has no limits.
La Blogotheque has filmed Phoenix, Grizzly Bear, Jason Mraz, Jamie Lidell, and countless others. Their raw style and “anything goes” mindset makes their Take Away Shows truly one of a kind. The first time I watched the Bon Iver “Skinny Love” video it sent chills down my spine. Not to mention Phoenix’s “1901” live in France which convinced me that they truly are one of the greatest bands of my generation.
This series of videos is much like watching an under the radar indie film that moves you in an indescribable way. So take my word for it, do yourself a favor, and check out La Blogotheque.
