Soulful pop singer gears for debut release.
The Australian born pro surfer turned musician (a la Jack Johnson), Ry Cuming grew up playing and picked up his first guitar when he was only five years old. He was discovered by a film producer at a hotel he was playing at and soon after signed a deal with Jive Records. Now he is releasing his first self-titled debut album after the success of his single "Always Remember Me" with Sara Barielles ("Love Song").
Cuming has garnered a young, beach dreaming fan base through his promotional deal with Quicksilver/Roxy Surf Co. Ry has a soulful voice that could be compared to a male version of Colbie Callait. He also has two Austrailian Dolphin Awards for Best Pop Song and Best New Artist on his mantle. His newest album should be a hit seeing as it was produced by John Alagia (John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Ben Folds Five, and Brett Dennen). Don't be surprised if you hear this guys name around as he is touring with Maroon 5 whose keyboardist Jesse Carmichael is featured on the track "Home").
Key Tracks: "Always Remember Me", "Harder To Say", and "Some Kind of Love"
