Sleeperstar

Texas rockers make their presence known with stellar debut album.
Got to give props to these guys for successfully hiding from me until now. Apparently I was the last to hear about the Dallas based band that has a huge local following and over 10,000 fans on their Facebook page. With a sound that they embrace as "Third Eye Blind meets U2", their sound is a uniquely familiar transcendent and polished one much that reminds me of Green River Ordiance.
Their newly released debut full length album Just Another Ghost is a solid five star with multiple standout tracks. "We Go Tonight (Say It Again)" kicks off the album with a powerful testament to the songwriting and vocal ability of frontman Chris Pearson that delivers on all 14 tracks. It is safe to say that Just Another Ghost is my favorite album so far of 2010 and would recommend it in a heartbeat. If $10 is stretching your budget then download "We Go Tonight (Say It Again)", "Wherever You Go", "Disengage", and "Texas Rain". You will not be disappointed.

Love Love at Sleeperstar!!!!!
These guys are the best new band of 2010! I'm so jazzed to see them live this fall. Heard the live show is even better than there album?
Awesome! They're such a great band.
Run...don't walk to get this CD. It has been MORE than worth the wait.
I only had to listen to clips on iTunes to be convinced to buy the whole album. It's excellent. I love Wherever You Go (yes, it's U2-esque), Carry Your, Everything Must Find Its Place, Fallback, Texas Rain, and many more. I only wish they sold the CD here in the Philippines.
I LOVE Sleeperstar!!! They are such sweet guys and very talented
I am enjoying this album very much....really!!!
There isn't a track on this album that I don't enjoy...really
I also enjoy following these guys on twitter......
Great guys and great music! Listen to them! In addition to the one's the OP listed, I also like Journey, Can't Escape Your Eyes, and Only Human, but they're all great!
You will not be disappointed of you buy tbs record! It's is one of my favorites of the year and I can't wait to see these guys on tour!
Great Review! Have to say I agree with it too! This album is finely crafted and almost succeeds in bringing the incredible live energy of a Sleeperstar show to the recorded state. I'm not sure that's even possible, anyway - the concerts are great, the album is outstanding.
I recommend that everyone buys 2 copies - one to keep and one to introduce to a new Sleeperstar fan who just doesn't know it yet. They will be very grateful to you (big props!) and then have them buy one for one of their friends! An upside down pyramid! (by the way - that's what I did - bought 2 and sent one to upstate New York!)
Sleeperstar is one of my best new "finds" this year. Their music always helps me get away! And the fact that they really are the nicest bunch of guys doesn't hurt! They always give 110% to their fans!
Its hard to find good music out there these days. So glad I found Sleeperstar- great band, great lyrics, great sound!! One of my top favs. You will regret not picking up their album!
Some of the very best new music that I've found. Every track on their CD is amazing, and that is a rare thing. Don't miss out! Buy their CD today!
I found Sleeperstar through the same friend who introduced me to Needtobreathe and Green River Ordinance (needless to say, I adore this friend!!). I fell in love with their EP, "To Speak, To Love, To Listen" and could hardly wait for "Just Another Ghost"!! I am lucky enough to live in Dallas so I went to their CD release concert. I was completely blown away, these guys not only sound good on CD, but 10 million times as good, if not better live! (photos from the show - http://bit.ly/baoemk)
Chris, Jake, Shaun, Nick and Brandon are some of the awesome-est dudes around, they're really friendly, and they care about (and love) their fans and their music. I would definitely recommend buying several copies of "Just Another Ghost" to give to friends (I already have)! (P.S. follow them on Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter - esp. on Twitter, they're hilarious!)
"Just Another Ghost" should be a part of everyone's cd collection. I think they rock harder than Coldplay.
They don't alienate a certain target group for their music....high school kids to older adults will enjoy this cd.
Did you know that they wrote, produce and play instruments on all the songs on the album? Not many groups can say that.
Buy 5 copies and buy it on I-tunes!
Sleeperstar is a beyond fantastic band! I originally heard of them when they were on tour with Green River Ordinanace this past winter. Right after their first song finished during their opening set, I knew I was hooked, I bought their EP "To Speak, To Love, To Listen" that night and have been a part of the Sleeperstar family ever since.
The much anticipated "Just Another Ghost" definitely delivers- it's a great mix of rock and ballads, perfect for any mood. Definitely buy a copy (or wait until they come to a city near you and buy one from the band in person).
Their live shows are even better than their cds. Chris, Nick, Shaun, Brandon, and Jake are an incredibly talented group of young men. They are so gracious to their fans, it truly makes you feel that you're a part of their family. And, I must say, I'm honored to be on this journey with them.
Terrific CD by a great band!
It has to be like my favorite album of all time, like not even kidding! Its crazy to say since i am also a huge david cook fan and gro fan, but it really is that amazing. :) i could not wait for it to finally arrive in the mail and now that is has, i cannot stop listening to it! the cd case has even started to rip on the edges, cause i take it everywhere and listen to it. i also say you should buy "Can't Escape Your Eyes", it has my favorite line ever in it. It goes "They say to love and lose, someday you will be found." I am seriously going to get that tattoed on me. :) i love it! I LOVE SLEEPERSTAR! i cannot wait to hang with my boys on the fall tour! :) LOVE YOU GUYS!

Sleeperstar so totally rocks! Fell in love with their sound from first listen. Songs are amazing. Almost wore out a copy of 'To Speak, To Love, To Listen' EP. I love the lyrics. JAG is an awesome listen all the way through. Buy at least one copy...you will not second guess your $$ distribution. The guys are so sweet, they signed all the preorders. :D AND livestreamed the CD release party on Twitter. Other bands do livestreams too but SS streamed the whole show. I think they all have Texas size hearts! Hope their fanbase gets big enough to come to Canada soon. :)

Ahhhhh! I waited, rather impatiently, for weeks after pre-ordering Sleeperstar's new album and it was WELL worth the wait. Not only are these guys incredible human beings, but they are also incredible musicians. I also recommend buying two of their album...one to keep and one to share with a friend or random stranger who has never heard of Sleeperstar! Congratulations guys! Never forget that North Dakota loves you! :)
Heck yeah Sleeperstar is awesome!! And they really are even better live-there is so much energy at a Sleeperstar concert! I've seen them play live like 3 times already, and every concert is even better than the last one! Just another ghost is an amazing album everyone cool :D should own!!!
This band writes some of the best songs out right now. The lead singer has amazing vocals. RUN to iTunes and buy this CD, you will not be sorry.
SLEEPERSTAR IS THE NEXT BIG BAND...........PERIOD
I love Sleeperstar! Known them since high school and their live show never disappoints. You couldn't ask for 5 cooler guys to start a band.
I'm in total agreement with everyone who's commented above. Sleeperstar is by far my favorite of 2010! A HUGE thank you to the heavens for the David Cook-->Green River Ordinance--->Sleeperstar musical "connect the dots" that introduced a lot of us to this phenomenal find! =) The album is worth every single penny and any concert near you (or heck within a 3 hour radius for sure) is well worth the gas money. They won't let ya down!
