Sparro Isn't Grammy Nominated For Nothing
Born Sam Falson, he grew up in Sydney and his father was a recording artist. Influenced by soul music at a young age the former child actor peaked at #2 with his first single "Black & Gold" in the UK. The following year he released his self-titled debut album which remained in the broke into the Electronic Top 10 and peaked at #4 in the UK charts.
Sparro is currently on tour with another MTMYC feature, Frankmusik.
"Black & Gold", Sparro says, "is about God, yeah. [...] I do like to have faith in something that is bigger than me." Check it out below.

I love how certain ppl are just now finding out about Sam Sparro....he's been on my iPod for over 1 1/2 now. How do you miss someone this good..oh yeah, cause your too busy listening to the same crap over and over and never bother to look around outside of your bubble, which apparently is filled with boring music we've all heard over and over.
I fell in love with this song when it was featured in Fame. Then when he showed up on this list, my first thought was "It's about time!"

get over your self. you are so cool for having ears . all you did was listen to his music before . you didnt create . you didnt perform.
get out of the cycle. you are the one who is in a bubble. if you truely supported this guy you would glad he is getting recognition instead of making it about your self and tainting it with hate.
I first heard this song on so you think you can dance. I'm sad to say I haven't liked any of his other stuff as much as this but I'm still hoping it'll grow on me, because this song is pure awesome. Love love his voice.
Quesion Villainy:What does creating or performing the song have to do with the point that people ARE just now catching onto Sam Sparro? The post has a point, it is sad that artists like Sam Sparro dont get noticed often. I do agree with you on the fact that glad he is getting recognition now. No disrepect to either but How about we stop attacking each other and just enjoy the music?
