Stornoway

Stornoway is all over the U.K. charts. Here's why...

Stornoway is one of the most organic and natural bands that I have heard in a long time. The Celtic-folk influenced band from Oxford was just introduced to the world May 24th with their debut album Beachcomer's Windowsill. I would try and list bands that they sound like, but honestly none come to mind.

They have the vibe of any mellow indie act that would be featured in the latest commercially successful independent film, but they have something extra... something intelligent. Their first single "Zorbing" was released last year, but rereleased for the new album. Beachcomer's Windowsill was introduced at #14 on the U.K. album chart.

Check out "Zorbing" below.
