The Keys get back to basics with their sixth studio album, Brothers.
Critics are raving for the new album, Brothers, the 6th studio album from a band that many consider to be the premier modern classic rock band. The Black Keys are a genre-confused duo comprised of singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer/producer Patrick Carney. Since their formation nearly a decade a go, The Keys have garnered a focused and extremely loyal fan base
While the band has established itself as a predominately alt-blues band, Brothers periodically wanders into the realms of soul and funk music. The Keys sound eager as they return to their roots with distorted vocals, gritty guitars, and simplistic drum beats. The album's first single "Tighten Up", produced by Danger Mouse, is definitive track that is undeniably catchy and passionate. While none of these tracks will be heard on popular radio, expect The Keys to continue their placement on TV episodes and video game soundtracks.
Brothers will quench the thirst of long-time Keys fans and demand the allegiance of new listeners. The Black Keys have solidified their indie-immortality with their newest chapter and have become the must see act at festivals across the nation. Their unique style is unlike any other band out right now and don't expect them to veer off the radar anytime soon.
