Lisa Hannigan has run marathons, speaks French, has sung opera, can sew her own clothes, and can speak knowledgeably about art and art history. But she’s best known as the backing singer for Damien Rice.
A couple of years ago, they were about to do a show in Munich, and five minutes before they went on stage, Damien turned to Lisa, who’d been with him for seven years and was featured on both of his albums, and said…”I don’t need you anymore. You’re fired.”
After that she started working on a solo album and last year Jason Mraz called her and said: "I love your music…come on tour with me."
Her first single she release is called “I Don’t Know.”

I saw Lisa Hannigan open up for Jason Mraz about two years ago in Austin at Stubbs and it was a night I'll NEVER forget. She is pure magic on stage and her recordings do not do her justice. She completely sounds like an angel!
