Jessie James

Jessie James is a 21year old through and through southern girl from Atlanta. She was born in a field hospital in Italy while her dad was stationed there. When she was in high school, she would drive on weekends up to Nashville to work with producers and just hang out in recording studios. She did a demo and when Island Records people heard it they flew her up to IDJ to perform it. She knew she might have a chance with LA Reid, the chairman of the label started dancing while she was performing. When she was 18, she made the finals of "My Grammy Moment" to sing with Justin Timberlake at the Grammys. She’s worked with Toby Gad, who wrote “Big Girls Don’t Cry” for Fergie and a bunch of other hits.
In one of her profiles online she says:
“I don’t care about the money. I’m not rebellious; I just don’t like doing what I’m told. I clean house in my underwear. I could possibly fit in your pocket. I'm maybe 5 foot nothing, but don’t underestimate what I can do. I am a military brat, and LOVE our troops. I am an ARIES, a true fire sign. MY PERSONAL GOALS THIS YEAR: Lose my kitchen phobia, find a reason to shave my legs every night, stop running around my house naked, write sweeter songs, find someone to take me dancing, then to church on Sundays, and to learn to make peach cobbler.”
Her first single “Wanted” has become a hit and hopefully there will be more out of Ms. James where that came from!
