Songify

You may remember an app that we featured a few months ago called La Di Da that allowed you to sing into your mobile device that it would match your voice to the music simply by singing along to a metronome. Well the people that made that app have teamed up with the Gregory Brothers and released another one called Songify.

Who are the Gregory Brothers? They are the dudes that have become famous on YouTube for their bit called "Auto Tune The News" which brought us the Double Rainbow Guy and The Bed Intruder Song (Antoine Dodson)... Greatness!

I digress. The Gregory Brothers have teamed up with Khush to bring us this cool app. All you have to do is crank it up and talk to it for up to a minute. Once you are finished recording, let Songify do its magic. "I'd say we'd dreamed of an app like this since before we were born," Evan Gregory told Billboard Biz. "Everybody having a computer in their phone finally gave us the platform. "

There are two sides to the app. The good and the bad.

The good: Its free. Its cool. Its easy.

The bad: Just like with everything in app life, you have to pay for additional songs and some of the playback is a bit choppy at times.
